Can't resist the LOLcats...sorry.
So, what better way to kick things off than with a contest eh?
Read on, good things in store!
Though I want to keep some things for the campaign a secret, I will share with everyone that we will indeed be using ships in three sizes. Small, Medium, or Large. (Or if you enjoy McDonalds...Medium, Large, and Supersized)
A good example of small, medium and Large ships...
If your army is playing on the Imperial side (Empire, High Elves, Wood Elves, Bretonnians, Dwarfs) then you will need to build your choice of the following.
2 large ships, or 3 Medium and 1 Large, or 2 Small, 1 Medium, and 1 Large.
If you are playing the Invading Forces
5 Small ships, 3 Small and 1 Medium ship, or 2 Medium ships.
Prizes will be campaign oriented, or something else "special". Prizes will be awarded for the following catergories. Ships must be fully built and painted in order to qualify.
Catergory 1 - Best Ship overall
Catergory 2 - Best themed ship
Catergory 3 - Best use of material
Fear not if you don't have the time/talent. We are going to be scheduling a hobby night about once a month or so. You are allowed to seek feedback, and training, but must do the work yourself. (So store bought ships will be disqualified.)
So get to your ship yards, and get busy!
Can you define the size categories? Like is a large ship a foot long, 6 inches, a yard?
ReplyDeleteTime frames?
ReplyDeleteBefore the third scenario, which I know isn't much of a time frame, but as for now I am guessing Dec. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer, but as we get rolling and figure out schedules, we will know better. Also, the sizes for the ships are as follows;
ReplyDeleteSmall - up to3"W x 5"L x 2"H
Medium - 4"-5"W x 6"-9"L x 3"-4"H
Large - 6-9"W x 10"-15"L x 5" - 10"H
I've never done anything like this. Any advice? I can't wait to try.
